Tourism Quality Label

In the "Places to visit" category, the Pont du Gard site has held the "Tourism Quality” label* since October 2009, initiated by the Occitanie Region and the Occitanie CRT. At the same time, it holds the Tourism QualityTM mark of approval issued by the Délégation Régionale du Tourisme. This label does not imply uniformity, but rather highlights the site’s particularities, our know-how and our behaviour.

*The National Tourism QualityTM mark: this has become the priority for all tourism sector businesses recognised by the government. The Tourism QualityTM plan is a mark that aims to improve visitor reception and tourism service quality in France. This rigorous approach, undertaken by tourism professionals, is the only Government issued mark awarded to tourism professionals for the quality of their reception and services. Registered by the Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism QualityTM mark allows you to choose tourist establishments with total confidence that they offer quality services, such as the Pont du Gard.

A guarantee of quality for our visitors

The "Tourism Quality" label guarantees the respect of a series of general quality and professionalism criteria for the services proposed by the Pont du Gard site, as well as the promotion of the region’s specific characteristics. The Pont du Gard thus participates in a regional dynamic with one of its privileged partners, the Occitanie Regional Council, and shows its commitment to guaranteeing customer satisfaction through a nationally recognised label.

As the region’s most visited monument, the Pont du Gard is managed with a sustainable development and tourism policy that seeks to reconcile conservation with large visitor numbers. This twofold characteristic affirms its driving role in the development of a region where tourism is one of its main economic pillars.
