EXPO: The World Heritage Bridge

From 2 June 2025, the Pont du Gard will celebrate World Heritage with a free exhibition. A journey through the wonders of humanity and the reasons for its inclusion on the UNESCO list.

The exhibition ‘The World Heritage Bridge’

To mark this anniversary year, the Pont du Gard site wanted to showcase world heritage by creating an exhibition that will be open to visitors in the reception area on the left bank from 2 June 2025.

It offers an overview of human history and the riches of our heritage, aiming to raise visitors' awareness of this heritage shared by all the peoples of the planet, which we must preserve in order to educate, learn and pass on to future generations.
The exhibition showcases these wonders, their richness and diversity, through a selection of items from across five continents, offering a journey through time, across the civilisations and traditions that have marked the history of humanity.

This exhibition also highlights the criteria that led to the Pont du Gard being included on the World Heritage List in 1985.
